It's a well known axiom of business that when it comes to putting money up for a new idea, everyone leaps at the opportunity not to be first. For Letters From the Front, Steve Scott was the first person to say "Yes!" Steve was one of the people that Jerry Sperbeck told us to call about sponsoring our test market at Ft. Bliss. At that time Steve was the Marketing Manager for Milbrands, Inc., a military broker. The test market at Ft. Bliss worked so well that we were able to plan a national tour of military bases, with Milbrands as our primary sponsor. Steve continues to be an avid supporter of Letters From the Front. Thoroughly knowledgeable about military marketing, he is an invaluable resource whose advice we rely on each time we organize a new tour. Sponsoring a theatrical production was totally unheard of in the military marketplace in 1991. Steve had to go way out on a limb for Letters From the Front, and we haven't forgotten! |
